Website All About?

Basically, we love kayaking, and we hope that others will try it and share in the many pleasures that the sport offers.

In addition, our ability to enjoy kayak touring is hampered by the lack of information about kayaking routes and the basic details that are needed to experience them (directions, launch sites, distances). Many of our initial journeys were inspired by some files shared via the web by an Ottawa area paddler named William Watt as well as conversations on the newsgroup ott.rec.canoe-kayak where Keenan is an active participant.

We don't have any source of revenue to support the site. We feel that it adds to our enjoyment to share our journeys with others who share similar interests, and material reward is therefore not the goal. However, if you find that you really enjoy our site and you want to give something back, then please consider making a donation to our charitable organization LiveWorkPlay, which provides many wonderful services to young people with developmental disabilities.
